ABC’s ‘Castle’ season 7 spoilers: Be prepared to meet Ryan’s sister!

Hasn’t it been a while since we’ve seen Ryan in the spotlight on “Castle“? It feels like it, and that is why we are very grateful that he seems to get at least one signature episode a season to show off his skill set (plus his sense of humor).

For this particular season, it looks as though Seamus Dever’s character is also going to show off some of his family. Whether or not it is his intention to do so is still to be seen. Per TVLine, the upcoming 18th episode this season will introduce us to the first time to Ryan’s sister Gwen, and her husband, who happens to be a security specialist by the name of Frank. Given his profession, our speculation-brain almost immediately turns to wondering whether or not he is involved in a case. This is typically the direction that we tend to go whenever we have guest characters introduced on the show.

What we want most of all for Ryan is to simply see more of his family life, given that we saw his wife and his newborn child last season, but they have not been the center of attention ever since. How is he adjusting to being a dad? We know that there have been pressing matters like Castle’s kidnapping and dismissal from the NYPD, but some updates here or there are still nice.

While this story has us excited, rest assured that it is still well more than a month away from airing.
