‘The Following’ season 3 video: Kevin Bacon, cast tease story ahead

March 2 is a date to remember if you are a fan of “The Following.” This is when the series will return to Fox with all-new episodes, which is definitely exciting to us for a number of different reasons.

First and foremost, this is a show that seems to be genuinely interested in evolving rather than just staying the same. After being an enormous force in the first few seasons, Joe Carroll is going to be absent for at least a huge portion of the story. After all, the man is locked away! As Kevin Bacon says in the video below, the focus for this story is establishing somewhat of a different story and mythology for the characters. This includes new villains, twist, and turns that you will not see coming.

There is also one other interesting thing in here that is worth mentioning again, and that is Bacon’s reminder that this is a season that new fans can jump into and enjoy. There was a pretty steep drop in viewers once we got near the end of the second season, and they could use some new potential fans in order to survive.

Personally, the one thing that we are hoping for is more of a focus on the mystery and the suspense, and a little less of the gratuitous violence. There were just a few times on the past season of the show where we started to feel like it was getting to be a little much for us to handle.
