‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Kelsey Poe, Chris Soules front and center in latest promo
Monday night’s new episode of “The Bachelor” on the surface appears to be one of the most tremendous sources for drama that we have seen in some time. At the center of all of it is Kelsey Poe, fresh off of complaining about that lake date Monday night.
After watching the new promo for this episode below (via USA Today), there is a part of us that almost feels bad for Kelsey. This is obviously a manipulative edit job designed mostly to make her look as terrible as possibly, with juxtaposing a confident, almost cocky confession with her seemingly crying over what seems to be a medical crisis. Unless she is just faking the entire emergency for attention, this seems almost cruel to mock her if something is actually wrong.
With that being said, let this once again be a lesson to all future reality TV contestants: Anything you say can be held against you on this show. Be aware of that anytime that you are an a confessional, and sometimes, you never even see a negative edit coming.
Personally, we’re still shocked that she has turned out to be somewhat of a villain based on the edit. With the story that she has, we would have thought that she would be one of the more positively-portrayed people on Chris Soules’ season, and maybe even a favorite to be the star of a “Bachelorette” season. At this moment, it is pretty fair to say that we don’t quite see that anymore.

The panic attack was definitively fake. ( My son has had them. She was faking!) You can try to say “selective editing”, but she DID say the things she said, and you can’t make those words disappear. I found her arrogant, cocky, and rather “proud” of being a widow, and using it to her advantage. I am sorry for her loss, but she certainly did seem to want to “use” that loss to her advantage. Makes me sad for her family.

I think it was more about her attempting to manipulate the situation with her sad story than the editing. Just watched the episode & the moment she thought her story backfired on her she had a panic attack when she was fine when she was confident her manipulation was going to work. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has some syndrome not far off from Munchausen or something.

She was clearly attempting to be manipulative. That said, I’m not sure The Bachelor needed to add the creepy music. Shame on the producers for that. But shame on her for attempting to exploit her own tragedy.

She’s nuts…just read her late husband’s obit, she makes it about her. She goes on this show just a year after his death. … not to find love but give a performance for fame. How does Sanderson family feel about her? On Facebook she says she was with him to the end and no one can take that from her…Humm has anyone seriously ever investigated his death?

I agree that this is manipulative editing. It’s a shame that they are trying to destroy her credibility because with all this girl has been through, that is the last thing she needs.
