‘The Bachelor’ spoilers: Britt Nilsson and Chris Soules’ romantic date (and fallout)

Nothing on “The Bachelor” is ever that simple, and it looks like for the latest example of this, you don’t have to look a whole lot further than the next new episode of the series, which is airing on Monday night.

Why? On the surface, one of the one-on-one dates appears to be a very romantic hot-air balloon ride in New Mexico between Chris Soules and Britt Nilsson, who he gave his First Impression Rose to early this season. For Britt, this is in some ways a shot of redemption, after she and Chris clashed in a brief conversation on this past episode. She was a frontrunner before that, and she definitely can be again.

However, is there something else that is lying underneath the surface here? Based on the synopsis below, it appears that some other women in the house may be very much questioning if Britt really is everything that she seems:

“The next day, Chris sneaks into Britt’s hotel room in the early morning hours and whisks her away on one of the most romantic dates of the season: a hot air balloon ride as the sun rises. Part two of the couple’s passionate date might put this woman way ahead of the group. Too bad the other bachelorettes don’t think she is being truthful about her intentions.”

Ultimately, it is very hard to say whether or not Britt is on the show for love, Chris, or anything else. She seems very nice! The only reason that we’ve been worried is because she is a waitress in Hollywood, which is typically code for “I want to be an actress.” There’s nothing inherently wrong with that, but it does make you wonder sometimes with this show.
