‘The Blacklist’ season 2 spoilers: Extended promo adds to drama of Super Bowl episode

As we have said many times over now, NBC is really doing their best to prepare you now for the Super Bowl episode of “The Blacklist.” They are going to hype this up like nobody’s business, release as many different promos as they can, and basically remind you as a whole that this is something that is definitely worth your time.

Today, what we have for you is basically the most extensive promo that the show has released to date, given that it is two minutes long, and it gives you quite a bit in terms of some of the action that you will be seeing in the episode. Ron Perlman’s character of Luther Braxton is highlighted especially, which is something that really should be worth celebrating. After all, this is a man described as being Red’s “worst nightmare,” and at one point in the video, he really seems to be concerned for the fate of Liz Keen.

What could ultimately be revealed about Liz and Red’s history in this episode? For many, that seems to be the billion dollar question. There is mass speculation that this installment will drop some sort of clue, but if they do, it shouldn’t be too tied to anything you’ve seen in the past. The real goal of this episode is not so much to open up old mythology again, since you are trying to get new potential viewers hooked.
