‘Homeland’ season 5: How Claire Danes stays away from internet response
Claire Danes was one of many people present for the SAG Awards on Sunday night, and we were also lucky that she got a chance to walk the red carpet for the E! pre-show. Sometimes, we do not get that many opportunities to hear about or discuss some of the actors whose shows are not currently on the air.
While it is still far too early in the process to really say too much about “Homeland” season 5, Claire Danes was at least kind enough (while on the red carpet) to talk a little about how she deals with social media and if she looks at what people are saying about the show. Ultimately, she manages to stay away from it (which is a talent these days), with one of the reasons being that they film in remote parts of the world, and it is also airing at very odd times wherever this location is:
“We’re so [in the process] of making the thing while it’s airing … I’m pretty blind to the response. I kind of felt the enthusiasm this season, which was reassuring and wonderful … I try not to [lol] too much, since it leads to unchecked anxiety.”
For the most part, we do feel that this is probably for the best, especially given that the majority of the internet was pretty thrilled with the majority of the season, but then they flipped it around and complained about the ending. We stand by what we’ve said lately, which is that the finale is underrated.
