‘Gotham’ episode 13 video: Oswald has a surprise for his mother

While Oswald Cobblepot may be a liar and a schemer, we know that he does have at least one person in his life that he cares about: His mother. Therefore, you should really not be altogether shocked that he chooses her to do some of his boasting around her when it comes to the club that Fish Mooney once owned.

Does she still own it? The sneak peek below from Monday night’s “Gotham” does not exactly give you every slice of information when it comes to the current state of ownership, but the implication here is still pretty darn clear: Oswald wants it, and in return for some of his services keeping Falcone safe, he will probably inherit it. There is a part of us that really wants to think of this as some sort of precursor to the Iceberg Lounge, which he is famous for, especially for movie fans back in “Batman Returns.”

His mother definitely seems to enjoy the idea of her son moving up in the world in such a grand fashion, so now, we’ll just have to see if all of this sticks. It is rather fun to see the way that this story has progressed for Robin Lord Taylor’s character, but we imagine that Fish still will have a thing or two to say about all of this madness before everything comes to a close.
