‘Downton Abbey’ season 5, episode 4 preview (PBS): Maggie Smith, Elizabeth McGovern teases now!
Ready for another sequence of “Downton Abbey” teasers? We hope so, given that Sunday night’s new episode (at least new for PBS viewers) is going to cram in quite a few welcome storylines and surprises. A few will come out of left field, while a few others have been building for a few weeks now.
While there are no significant spoilers from the episode below, we would still caution you that if you are extremely sensitive about matters, now may be the time to stop reading. Come back Sunday night, which is when we will have a more in-depth analysis of the installment.
1. The return of Sarah Bunting will, as expected, create even more friction within the Abbey. It will also continue to make Tom Branson question just what it is that he ultimately wants out of his life.
2. Cora will continue to be close to Simon Bricker, and Robert will continue to be upset about it. What he needs to figure out here is whether or not he knows the right way to go about defusing the situation.
3. Is Violet really the oracle of information for interpersonal relationships? Prince Kuragin’s arrival will give you a little more insight into just why she knows so very much.
4. Anna makes a risky decision when it comes to the Mr. Green death investigation, and it could lead to her being in a position that she never thought she would be.
5. Mary will realize that while she found herself completely in love with the plan that she devised when it comes to figuring out if Tony Gillingham was right for her, there are a variety of different consequences that she is going to face for it.
