‘The Fall’ season 3: Where you can see Jamie Dornan next (outside of the movies)
If you enjoy “The Fall” and have very little patience, odds are that you may have made it already through the entire second season on Netflix. With that in mind, you may be interested at the moment in watching something else starring Jamie Dornan.
Just in case you are one of those with this particular feeling, hopefully we can oblige with the following news. According to a report from Variety, four-part British period drama “New Worlds,” which features the man behind Paul Spector set in the 1860s, will commence airing on the video-on-demand service Acorn TV starting on February 16. This show originally aired in the UK on Channel 4, and this is its first major debut to U.S. customers. Like “The Fall,” it has already been available to viewers in Britain.
While both this and also “Fifty Shades of Grey” should provide a great source of things for Dornan fans to smile about (at least for a while), there are still many questions that remain in regards to the actor’s future on the Netflix / BBC Two co-production. (Spoilers ahead!) Spector’s fate was left up in the air at the end of “The Fall’s” season-two finale, and there are a variety of different ways this particular story could go. His movie schedule could end up playing a role in the decision.
What we do know for sure is that there is potential interest from both creator Alan Cubitt and also star Gillian Anderson in doing more of “The Fall,” but it may be a while. Cubitt writes the series himself, and Anderson has a busy schedule that also includes a regular gig on “Hannibal.”
We’ll have of course even more news on the future of the show as it comes out. For now, be sure to head over here to get some other wonderful TV scoop on all we cover at CarterMatt sent over to you via our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: BBC.)
