‘Shark Tank’ revisited: SoapSox, DrumPants, HeartPup, and Ninja Cards
While we had the luxury of getting two straight new episodes of “Shark Tank” on ABC last week, this means that there is a casualty taking place somewhere else. That may be this week, given that we have no new installment or products to talk about.
You know how the show likes to give you occasional updates on old products featured during the show? Well, the ABC series did this as well, and we’ve got for you our brief take on updates featuring the products that were shown when this episode first aired. (You can check out our original review here for comparison.)
SoapSox – They seem to be doing well! Their products are still adorable, and they seem to be expanding. We’re not surprised; Parents will buy anything that convinces their kids that bathing is fun. Out of the products from this episode, these guys superficially appear like the most successful, even without an investment.
HeartPup – Our major concern during the first airing of this product was the price, and they are having a sale now. We would never carry our dog in a pouch like this (even though Coco Chanel Vanderwoof would feel differently if she knew this product existed), but for some people who like to travel with their furry friend, we suppose that it is much more commonplace. It seems, though, that their investment from Daymond John did go through. That doesn’t always happen on this show!
Ninja Cards – The website feels almost identical to the first airing, but there is supposedly a new board coming soon. That suggests that things are at least going okay for the group.
DrumPants – Still, it seems like a fun idea to make your mobile device a little more musical. They are active on social media, but they have a relatively-small follower base still. The market for them is just incredibly competitive.
