‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: Can Hook be Emma’s protector?

Typically in the world of “Once Upon a Time,” hearts are more than just an object beating inside your chest, or a metaphor for matters when it comes to romance. They are almost like currency that can be taken from you, or used as a bargaining chip or control. It’s not something that we ever really considered as a possibility before this show came around, but as we saw with Captain Hook and Rumpelstiltskin recently, there can be some dramatic things that happen when someone’s heart gets snatched up.

Are we going to see Hook in a similar position later this season? Not necessarily, but someone else he cares about could be in danger! According to a new report coming in from TVLine, Hook is actually going to have to work to protect Emma’s heart after she has worked to retrieve his own back. Who could be the person who wants to take it? The possibilities there are endless, since it is not too difficult to really figure out why there would be someone out there intrigued by the idea of having this in their possession.

Clearly, Emma is still an in-demand person in Storybrooke, and given that her nickname is now “The Savior,” we imagine that it will stay that way for a while. There are three new threats coming in Ursula, Cruella de Vil, and Maleficent, and who knows what they are going to want?

New episodes of the series will air on ABC starting on Sunday, March 1, and we expect some further news and updates then.
