‘NCIS: Los Angeles’ season 6: LL Cool J once again scores Grammy gig
The Grammys are one of the most prestigious gigs that almost anyone would want to host, but over the past few years, CBS has shown that they are choosing to be extremely selective in terms of who actually gets the gig.
This year, they are going once again with a repeat performer in LL Cool J. The “NCIS: Los Angeles” star will be hosting the February 8 ceremony, which makes this the fourth straight year that he has had the gig. What is he doing that is so impressive? While we cannot sit here and tell you a single memorable moment on the show featuring him, he does a solid job with it and keeps the show running. We feel like CBS just wants to play it cool here, and get someone who is generally likable and knows that they are doing. LL is that guy. Also, it is good cross-promotion for him, and he also happens to be someone with an extensive history in music.
In a statement confirming the news of his return, the actor / rapper said the following:
“I’m thrilled to again be part of Music’s Biggest Night … The performances and moments you see on the Grammy stage are nothing less than amazing throughout the years and this year’s show is shaping up to be one you will never forget.”
Some of the potential big winners at this year’s show include Iggy Azalea and Sam Smith, who each burst onto the scene in the past year and managed to find an enormous place in the music world.
