‘How to Get Away with Murder’ spoilers: What’s next for Asher and Bonnie?

Asher and Bonnie are probably two characters we did not expect together at the start of “How to Get Away with Murder,” but the element of surprise is ultimately what adds to the overall fun of the series.

While the show’s return on January 29 is clearly going to devote a good deal of time to seeing the aftermath of Sam Keating’s death, there is going to be so much more than that at play. For the two aforementioned charters, much of the story will revolve around seeing how (and if) they can actually function in a relationship. Take a look, per E! News, at what Matt McGorry had to say about it:

“We get to see more of the resolution of Bonnie and Asher’s relationship … It gets more complicated, but more fun, too. We get to see two people who are probably not great at relationships trying to work things out, which is painful to watch in some ways.” 

We don’t foresee this being something that is cleared up or addressed in the slightest during the early going. As a matter of fact, we expect it to take a little bit of time before all of the pieces end up coming together. In a way, the romances of this show are just as big of a mystery as almost anything else, and will be equally interesting in their own right to explore.
