‘The Big Bang Theory’ season 8 spoilers: Does Sheldon want to be miserable?

Big Bang Theory -It feels like a decent stretch of time since we’ve had anything new to report on “The Big Bang Theory,” but there is ultimately a pretty simple explanation for that: There has not been a new episode of the show airing for a while! It’s hard to really report on much when the show is keeping things fairly hush-hush.

Luckily, that is not happening anymore, since we have the first details from when the comedy returns to CBS on Thursday, January 29 with an episode entitled “The Anxiety Optimization.” Does this one sound like a winner? On the surface, definitely. Much of the storyline here seems to be derived from the idea that suffering makes you more prepared for achievement, or at least this is what Dr. Sheldon Cooper has convinced himself to believe. Therefore, he wants to try to have his friends make him as miserable as possible to be better suited for a great achievement. It’s completely bonkers, which is probably why it will be hilarious. Also this seems like it could be loads of fun for Leonard, Howard and Raj since Sheldon often makes them miserable.

Go ahead and take a look at this episode’s synopsis below:

“In the hopes of achieving a scientific breakthrough, Sheldon invites his friends to challenge him. Meanwhile, Wolowitz invents an embarrassing game about Raj.”

Clearly, there is quite a bit to look forward to here, and it feels like this should be one of the better episodes of the season so far. Any chance to see Sheldon embarrass himself on some sort of grand level is an episode that to us is definitely worth checking out.
