Welcome back, “Longmire” supporters! It feels like it has been a while since we’ve published an article about the show, and that’s because it has been a while. There’s just not as much going on in the months leading up to filming, since the writers want to keep things hush-hush and the cast is working on some other projects. Now that the show has been saved, everyone can take a step back and relax.
We wanted to start this story off with a few reminders, beginning with us being only a couple of months away from filming! Production should start on season 4 this March, which will be the first batch to debut on Netflix. As for the premiere date, there are of course some question marks out there in regards to that. Summer 2015 is the date we’ve heard bandied about, and that makes sense. Producers need time to get all of the episodes together, since Netflix likes to release them in one batch.
A Katee Sackhoff throwback – Katee will of course be one of these actors back on set, so why not start here? We have via Instagram a lovely throwback shot of her and the sheriff himself in Robert Taylor. This is just a bit of fun; hardly revealing, but nice to see.
Support another show – As Adam Bartley reminded us on Twitter earlier this week, why not lend a helping hand to another “Longmire” actor in Madchen Amick as “Witches of East End” continues to search for a home? We’ve written about this show’s journey many times, and Bartley links to a petition in the Twitter post below that has a whopping 100,000 signatures on it already.
For fans of this show, obviously never giving up is the key. “Longmire” managed to pull off a revival, and it is certainly possible for other shows, as well! It just takes a ton of hard work and convincing.
