‘Saturday Night Live’ preview: Featuring Kevin Hart, Kate McKinnon, and Sia (video)
While we still wonder whether or not we will enjoy her musical stylings on the show itself, we’ll give her credit at least for one thing here: Having a sense of humor. She seemed to love when Jim Carrey’s show made fun of her, and it should not be a coincidence that she is featured in this video alongside McKinnon, who was a key player in this sketch.
What is somewhat unusual about this weekend’s show is the timing of it. This appearance is coming following some controversial comments Hart made in a radio interview about his desire to never play a gay character on a movie, mostly because he feels like he would spend so much time analyzing what the public would think of it that he would not be effective. Usually, you don’t see a host come on right at a time when there is so much discussion around a specific story that is not being received so well publicly.
We do feel like Hart has the potential to put on a funny show, but the issue is that he doesn’t have a great “SNL” track record. His last show was okay, but not entirely anything that special.
