‘The View’: Rosie O’Donnell lashes out over Rosie Perez exit rumors; could Naya Rivera join?

Clearly, Rosie O’Donnell is quite the Rosie Perez fan. With that in mind, she’s not exactly thrilled about some of the rumors suggesting that the actress is leaving “The View” after taking some time away to work on Broadway.

In the video below from this morning’s broadcast, you can see Rosie clearly deny the talk that Perez is leaving the show, insisting that she is going to be back come after she is done working on the play. For the time being, we are inclined to believe her, mostly because we don’t think Rosie would come on the air saying something she knew to obviously be not true.

With that in mind, we do wonder sometimes with this show, given that it also tried to claim a while back that Elisabeth Hasselbeck was not going anywhere she she very clearly was. There is obviously some trouble in paradise here, and some people on the inside who may not be on the same page.

If Perez does ever leave, TheWrap reports that “Glee” star Naya Rivera could actually be a possible replacement, and the same goes for Laverne Cox of “Orange Is the New Black.” Both have guest-hosted, though Naya did stir up controversy earlier this month with comments about different races showering on a more frequent basis. They say that they are very much invested in trying to ensure that the show appeals to a young demographic, which is something that it has struggled to do since being on the air this season.
