‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 11 review: Did Lindsay and Halstead get together?
“Chicago PD” was really quite the tease over the past week or so. For the longest time, they made us think that there really could be something going on with Lindsay and Halstead. After all, the door was open for the two characters more than it has been ever before. Lindsay is no longer a part of Intelligence, and with the task force, there is no longer any sort of conflict of interest that would prohibit the two parties from ultimately having a more romantic bond.
So what really came out of this? At first, Halstead’s observation about their job status was interrupted before anything could happen. Stay tuned for what happened after that … after we talk about the Task Force. Let’s just say that she is not a huge fan. After all, she was not able to really properly pay a CI who desperately needed that money for their services. To say that complicates her feelings about the job is definitely an understatement.
It is really due to their failures to really make her feel like she is doing good work that Halstead visited her, and the two parties kissed and then some! Clearly, a big moment for Linstead fans, but you have to wonder if this can and will last if she decides to leave the Task Force behind.
Elsewhere, one of the larger surprises came when Burgess realized that hear heart “is in uniform” for the time being, and with that in mind, she could not take Voight up on his offer of Intelligence. It’s a big surprise, but she does not want to leave her partner behind while they recover.
Overall, and this is without talking too much about the case of the week, one of the best episodes of “Chicago PD” in a while. We imagine fans will be more than satisfied. Grade: B+.
