‘The Originals’ season 2, episode 10 video: On Joseph Morgan, Daniel Sharman, and alliances

Klaus -Are Klaus and Kol going to find a way to get along? This is going to be a question at the center of Monday night’s winter premiere of “The Originals,” which, as you probably remember, is much more about politics than it really seems to be on the surface.

Ultimately, the sneak peek below suggests that, as we watch Daniel Sharman and Joseph Morgan’s characters engage in what is a little bit of a natural back-and-forth on a variety of different subjects. What is at the center of it? Overcoming differences, mostly. Here’s the twist here; Klaus and Kol had some problems back when it was the Nathaniel Buzolic version of the character; now, you are adding those problems to all of the ones that he has with Kaleb, as well. This conflict is not going to be an easy one to settle.

As a whole, though, you have to prepare to see a whole lot more in the way of issues for Klaus here than we have really seen to date. After all, remember that we are talking about a man with a reputation for doing very terrible things, but he also has Hope to think about. She may have been on his mind at times throughout the first half of the season, but she was still somewhat at a distance thanks solely to not being present physically. Now, to say that the situation is very different would be making one of the biggest understatements imaginable.

By the end of this episode, let’s hope that we learn where Kaleb and Klaus really stand.
