‘Mad Men’ season 7: Which star just joined Netflix’s ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ revival?
We are starting to think that Netflix’s upcoming continuation of sorts of “Wet Hot American Summer” is basically shaping up to have one of the most enormous and star-studded casts of all time. We already know that many of the original stars from the movie are returning, but to go along with that, they are also getting a familiar face to “Mad Men” fans in John Slattery.
This is not Slattery’s first foray into Netflix comedy, as he had a brief but memorable appearance as a questionably doctor on the fourth season of “Arrested Development.” He also had a scene-stealing part as a Carrie Bradshaw love interest on “Sex and the City.” All of these are a nice change of pace from Roger Sterling, clearly the character most remember him for playing at this point. Interestingly, both he and Jon Hamm share that talent for being able to jump from one genre to the next.
Slattery is really only one of many fantastic people that the show is adding to its extensive roster. According to Deadline, the likes of Josh Charles of “The Good Wife,” “The West Wing” alum Richard Schiff, “Glee’s” Jayma Mays, and also “The Interview” star Randall Park are also going to be playing parts in the limited series, among others.
In the end, we’re getting more and more of a sense daily as to why Netflix is the cream of the crop these days. You are getting so many great programs, and to go along with that, a variety of movies and classic shows, as well, that you can take anywhere. We’re not a paid advertiser of them or anything, but they really are leading the pack right now.
