‘Criminal Minds’ season 10, episode 11 video: A powerful AJ Cook preview

To say that parts of “Criminal Minds” Wednesday are going to be difficult would be a massive understatement. This may be one of the most emotional episodes of the entire season.

We do criticize the show at times for touching on story threads, and then not addressing them again in the near future. Part of the reason for that is simply because this is a procedural, and the show has to be aware that when people are watching in syndication, they are not necessarily viewing everything in order. This makes serialized components a little more useless.

Still, for the JJ character, you did have the revisit the story from the 200th episode at some point. This is going to be the focus in part of this upcoming episode, and the sneak peek below is just one chilling preview of what to expect. AJ Cook will probably blow you away here, and to think that this is just the beginning.

Obviously, the major takeaway here is that she is not anywhere close to being completely healed yet from the trauma that she went through, but she does have to realize that at some point, she needs to be okay with letting others in to experience some of her pain with her. She has to figure out if it is possible at all for her to heal. There is no easy answer to these questions, but there is a journey that this character needs to still go on. In that sense, the incidents last season were really just the beginning of a long, elaborate arc for the character.
