‘Switched at Birth’ season 4, episode 2 video: Daphne finds a study group

SwitchedIt always difficult being in college for the first time, especially if you are going into it alone. After all, trying to make friends on the fly is a near-impossible challenge, as is preparing for your studies and handling the stress of being away from home.

For Daphne on “Switched at Birth,” we assume that the problems are most likely worse than for many. For one, she is still wrestling with the guilt of Bay being arrested over her. Meanwhile, she also has to deal with being potentially judged for being deaf, which unfortunately happens the majority of the time. Luckily, she seems to find a study group without a whole lot of trouble, and without a whole lot of help from her interpreter. (Does anyone think something could happen between those two?)

In general, struggle will be an important theme of the new episode Tuesday, since you have characters still trying to adapt to what is a complicated / confusing world around them. Bay’s trouble, away from the law anyway, comes via making sure that she and Emmett are on the same page despite being so far apart.

The other thing to remember here above all else is that we are still very early on in the season. With that, there is still a whole lot of time for events to go south, and for things to turn in a way that neither Daphne nor Bay see coming. We are going to have further updates along the way, so be sure to stay tuned for more of that.
