‘Girls’ season 4, episode 2 preview: What lies ahead in ‘Triggering’?

Tonight, we feel for fans of HBO’s “Girls,” given that the show is probably not going to premiere to the largest ratings that it has ever seen. After all, it is premiering against the Golden Globes, and we don’t even think the show is getting anywhere near the same sort of publicity that it has for some past seasons of the show.

Regardless of everything, the show has already been renewed for a fifth season, and next week’s episode “Triggering” should be a perfect way to carry over some of what you saw in the first episode tonight. Specifically, we are going to see the good and bad of Hannah Horvath in Iowa. On one side of the coin, she is going to be thrilled to learn just how comfortable she can live in the state. However, she will also realize that she is not anywhere near as universally loved as a writer as she would hope.

For a few other details, take a look at the episode’s synopsis below:

“Hannah moves into a new place and is thrilled with the amount of space she can afford, but struggles with life as a grad student when her fellow workshop writers don’t give her the feedback she expected.”

Evolution is meant to be a theme in part of this season. Some of these people are going to be growing up! We just have to see just how much they will be evolving, and what this really means for everyone in the long-term.

We will have our full review of the premiere in due time, so be on the lookout for that.
