The notable guest star on Sunday night’s “Madam Secretary” episode is Aasif Mandvi of “The Daily Show” fame, who is going to be playing a man who Elizabeth (Tea Leoni) just happens to have a past with. The two went to boarding school together!
However, this does not mean that the Secretary and Prince Yousif of Bahrain are going to be seeing eye to eye at all when it comes to the issue of some important people within his country. As a matter of fact, their friendly demeanor turns very quickly when she does not give in to precisely what he asks (which includes immunity for his diplomats). Eventually, this turns into a debate on human rights, American soil, and so much more.
Basically, the struggle that Elizabeth is running into here is that she has to walk a fine line between using her personal history with Yousif to get things done, and also make sure that she remains steadfast and about the best interests of her own country first and foremost.
This is going to be the last new episode of the show to air for a little while, so let’s hope that it is enough to satisfy. We already know that this is one you’re going to have to wait a little while longer to see; due to NFL programming tonight, the episode is going to air starting at 9:00 p.m. Eastern rather than its typical start time of around 8:00. When it does return, you can at least rest assured that there are not going to be any more delays due to football.
