‘Entourage’ movie filming at the 2015 Golden Globes

How about this for some surprising news from the Golden Globes? The awards show’s red carpet actually played host to so much more than big stars; it also managed to play host to a movie set of sorts!

During the E! red carpet show Sunday night, host Giuliana Rancic confirmed that the show’s cast was present actually filming scenes for their upcoming movie based on the hit TV show, which is all about the world of Hollywood and movie stars. It is a fun little move to actually use the real Globes as a set, and this is something that HBO would have never been able to do with the budget for an episode of TV. We also imagine that this has to be chaos to do, given that there are so many other priorities and things going on for this big show at the same time.

The “Entourage” movie already released a full trailer, and for the time being, it is just about everything that we expected it to be. It feels very much like the show, and we cannot see them doing anything that is necessarily that different. When you already have a pretty devoted fan following, why would there be any huge temptation to make a change? The simple answer is that there really shouldn’t be.

We’ll of course have more on the “Entourage” movie as that news comes out, but really today the story is much more about the Globes themselves. We’ll have full coverage tonight of everything from the big winners of the show to the speeches, and whether or not hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler fill up the room with side-splitting laughter again.
