Super Bowl XLIX Halftime Show: Katy Perry to be joined by Lenny Kravitz on NBC

NBC -Everyone knows that the Super Bowl Halftime Show is meant to be one of the biggest spectacles out there. With this in mind, can we really be surprised that Katy Perry now has another guest performer with her on February 1?

It was announced on NBC Saturday that Lenny Kravitz will join Katy in some capacity for the big Super Bowl XLIX show, which is going to be one of the most-watched events of the year no doubt. Sometimes, having big-name guests at your show is a huge hit; other times, you get what happened with M.I.A. as she effectively stole the attention of the world with her middle finger.

Ultimately, we don’t see much of a downside to a halftime show that features Perry front and center, given that this is the sort of show that is really all about the spectacle. You cannot expect perfect vocals from anyone, and you also have to know that they want to make this appeal to the widest audience possible. Katy is well-known around the world, and she typically performs live pretty well. Since he’s been touring for the better part of the past year, she also probably is very accomplished with the majority of these songs on the road.

We’re sure that there are going to be some other stars announced at some point in the future, and we will have a little bit more on that as it comes out. We’re sure that there will be at least a surprise or two that is saved to the very last minute, since that is something that traditionally happens with these broadcasts.
