‘The Walking Dead’ season 5, episode 9 video: Andrew Lincoln’s narration, survival highlight promo

While “The Walking Dead” has given us a few teasers here and there over the course of the holiday season, the majority of them have all had one thing in common: A propensity for giving us most of the same footage again and again from the AMC show. At a certain point, you just want to say “we get it” with some of that and move on.

For some of you, maybe the new trailer below for the show’s return on Sunday, February 8 will be right up your alley. Are there still some disadvantages to this one? Sure, mostly in that nothing in here actually constitutes new footage. Still, we find it exciting for a variety of different reasons, with the major one being simple that you get to see a bunch of people in complete badass mode, preparing to wreck havoc on almost anything and everything that gets in their way.

This promo is narrated by none other than series star Andrew Lincoln, which does give it that added layer of ruggedness. We love quite a few things about it, with the scruffiness of his beard being one of the primary things. More than anyone else, Rick Grimes really looks like he has been through a zombie apocalypse, and has a whole lot more to worry about beyond shaving. We guess that for most of the other men, they either find a way to groom, or their facial hair barely grows in at all.
