‘Call the Midwife’ season 4 premiere date confirmed; new Helen George, Miranda Hart video

Trixie -For all fans of “Call the Midwife” today, we come bearing good news: An official premiere date for the series over on BBC One! Given that we’re really not that far away from the show coming back, it really does feel like it was about time.

The network confirmed this week that the first episode is going to air on Sunday, January 18 at 8:00 p.m. London time, and we are set yet again for a series of powerful stories about the women of Poplar who try to help women in need bring their children into the world. It’s a very serious show at times, and we expect there to be a few occasions in which you get a little teary-eyed watching the episode. The Christmas Special proved that even without Jessica Raine in the cast, this series can still be just as effective as always.

Since this is such a serious show, we feel like in some ways that makes the video below all the more important. In it, you can see stars Miranda Hart (Chummy) and Helen George (Trixie) have a little bit of fun while on the show’s set. Obviously, you know that Hart has quite the comedy chops already, but it is very nice to see that these two ladies do work in an environment that is not always as somber as the show. If it was, we’d be worried that they would be slowly losing their minds.

We’re going to have more scoop on “Call the Midwife” soon, so be on the lookout for some of that.
