‘The Flash’: Grant Gustin celebrates People’s Choice Awards win for show

Yesterday ended up being quite a great day for “The Flash.” The show ended up winning a Best New Drama prize at the People’s Choice Awards, which is pretty incredible when you consider everything that it was up against. It competed against every new show out there, including “How to Get Away with Murder,” “Gotham,” and many more. Still, it ran away with the title thanks to some awesome storytelling, great performances, and a whole lot more.

So what does series star Grant Gustin have to say about this win? Writing in a new post on Instagram, the actor was of course overjoyed with getting the victory, and gracious that he has the opportunity to blame the iconic Barry Allen on TV:

“This is pretty friggin amazing. Thank you all so so much. This job feels like a dream every day & the fact that people are truly enjoying it fills my heart and inspires me to just push harder every day. The show is truly getting better and better. We will continue to try our best to top ourselves every week. Also how about our amazing writers!!? The stuff they come up with on a weekly basis blows my mind. Unreal. Thank you all.”

The humility is one of many reasons why we love Gustin and this series so much. It feels like everyone really enjoys being a part of this show, even if it is a ton of work with long hours and travel away from their friends and family. The show returns on Tuesday, January 20, and prepare for some more rapid-fire storytelling.
