‘Chicago PD’ season 2, episode 11 preview: Is Sophia Bush’s Lindsay finally leaving?

For the past several weeks, “Chicago PD” has certainly gotten quite a bit of burn out of the whole will-they-or-won’t-they story when it comes to Lindsay’s professional ambitions. Usually, this is a move that is only done with romance! After thinking that she was going to take off to the task force tonight, she decided to stay to help on one more case.

Moving into next week, though, expect a situation that is certainly different. Lindsay will be leaving the team … but not the show. She is still going to have quite an important part as she continues to work alongside her task force, and will find another way to work with Voight and the rest of the Intelligence unit in the process. This is what happens when you have so many different officers experienced across various units.

“Lindsay (Sophia Bush) has her first case with the task force and realizes she needs to call on Voight (Jason Beghe) and the Intelligence unit to assist. Meanwhile Burgess (Marina Squerciati) is back on the job, but relegated to desk duty which allows Desk Sgt. Platt (Amy Morton) the opportunity to partner up with Roman (Brian Geraghty).”

As for whether or not we feel like Lindsay will stay away from the rest of the team forever, the answer is simple: No. The show is just more interesting when she’s around Halstead, Voight, and the rest of the team. This is just a nice little diversion to shake things up to a certain degree.

Oh, and we should mention that Lindsay no longer being on the team may open things up for Halstead to make a move of his own…
