ABC gives ‘Galavant’ more burn during Wednesday night lineup
Clearly, ABC is feeling pretty strongly about the early returns on “Galavant.” After all, they have just opted to give their hyped “comedy extravaganza” another two airings in order to find the biggest audience possible.
On Wednesday night, the network is going to repeat the first two episodes of the series starting at 10:00 p.m. Eastern, which comes at the end of the two-hour comedy block that also includes new episodes of “black-ish,” “Modern Family,” and other shows. This is clearly a pretty strong lead-in, and with there not being a whole lot of other comedies on the air at this time, it is a chance for the show to find even more success.
As of right now, this is a series that only has eight episodes in which to shine. However, we feel like if its current ratings hold, it should get at least eight more episodes once again next year. This feels like a pretty good spot for it. While it would most certainly be great to see the show air more than four weeks out of the entire year, this is a time when there is lesser competition, and it can get some of the backing it needs.
If you have not had a chance to catch “Galavant” just yet, our advice is pretty simple: Go take a look at it! There is nothing else quite like the show on TV, and it is a very nice mixture of comedy and music.
