‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Gina Gershon to be mom for Darren Criss’ Blaine

Blaine -We learned a while back that “Glee” was in the process of casting Blaine’s mother, and when you remember how Ryan Murphy manages to consistently get pretty famous people for some of his roles, you had to be optimistic that something similar was going to happen here … right?

Well, we have some further confirmation right now that something indeed has. After photos started to float around online, it appears as though Gina Gershon will be taking on the role of the hilariously-named Pam Anderson. The fact that her IMDb page has already added the credit should be further proof that the gig is happening. Gershon is known for a variety of different movie roles over the years, including “Face/Off,” “Cocktail,” and “The Insider.” This makes Darren Criss’ character have a more concrete family tree than before, given that we know that Matt Bomer has already played the also-hilariously-named Cooper Anderson for an episode of the show.

As for why we are meeting her now, there are many possible reasons. We could be seeing more of Blaine’s home life, she gets involved with his relationships, or maybe something hugely important happens in the character’s personal life that makes such an appearance necessary.

New episodes of “Glee” are finally about to be here come Friday, January 9, so we’ll of course have some other news on everything that lies ahead soon. Most of the original cast, if not all, should be present at some point. For Blaine, we know the season starts with him back in Lima, working to coach his old glee club the Warblers after things fall apart in New York.
