‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4 spoilers: A further journey ahead for Jennifer Morrison’s Emma

Are you excited to see what lies ahead on “Once Upon a Time“? Even though the wait until Sunday, March 1 is going to be a long one, it feels more and more like the show is doing what it can to give you just enough teasers to make it somewhat more manageable.

The latest teaser today comes via show co-creator Adam Horowitz, who does his part to make it very clear that in the second part of season 4, Emma Swan’s journey is only going to continue both in the present, and also in the past. We learned a little bit about her and the Snow Queen, but there are still many parts of her life, and who she was long before Henry arrived in Boston, that remain a mystery. Speaking to TVLine, here is what Horowitz had to say:

“Emma will continue to explore what her particular heritage really means, as we learn that there are more secrets attached to who she was, is and will be.”

Keeping the focus on Jennifer Morrison’s character is fine with us, given that she is the normal lens through which we still view the show. So long as there aren’t any more secret relatives out there, we’re going to be thrilled. We know that she is figuring out magic more and more, and also finding her place in the town. Also, she has that relationship with Captain Hook, which weathered some pretty difficult stuff near the end of the winter half of the season.
