If you’ve been missing busy Sunday nights in terms of programming, have no fear: These nights are basically now at an end. There are a variety of new programs coming on the air, and they really run the gamut of comedy to drama to reality TV.
Let’s do a quick walk-through on all of the major TV networks, since all of them are putting something on the air for the first time in a little while.
ABC – You have new episodes of “Resurrection” and “Revenge” at their normal time, but before that we also have the one-hour premiere of the new “comedy extravaganza” “Galavant.” We really want to like the show based on what we have seen, but we cannot tell just yet if it is a cohesive unit, or just really good, funny advertising.
Fox – The animation domination block is back, and will probably secure a pretty excellent 18-49 demo rating on the strength of coming on after the Dallas Cowboys playoff game.
NBC – Ready for some insanity? There is a two-hour premiere tonight for “The Celebrity Apprentice,” and we definitely expect this to be all sorts of crazy (and hopefully all sorts of fun). This is the only week in which the reality competition will air on Sunday night; following this, it will be moved over to Monday nights for the rest of the season.
In the end, the message that we’re sending out here is that if you love great TV, there is a heck of a lot to be looking forward to throughout the rest of the day. If you want to get some other great news sent right over to you, sign up now for our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: CBS.)
