‘Brooklyn Nine-Nine’ season 2 spoilers: Holt fails at having fun
How does a man like Captain Holt relax in his spare time? Well, there is a simple answer to that: He really doesn’t. Instead, he spends most of his time continuing to be in subtle work mode seemingly. The new “Brooklyn Nine-Nine” sneak peek is further proof of that.
Sunday night’s episode is going to be themed around a trip to a beach house that all of the officers take to get away from their work environments, and it is here that Andre Braugher’s character really starts to understand just how the other half lives. With that being said, we’re not entirely sure that he is going to like what he sees here. When everyone starts to pick on a specific employee known as “Buttface Dave,” he is quick to come to his defense by claiming that he likes him, mostly because he is a good cop.
Well, that is about the full extent of the gossip that Holt is going to do. Maybe by the time this episode is over, he will find a way to get a little bit better at it.
As for everything else that we want to see on this show moving forward, we feel like it’s at the point now where it needs to firmly establish more long-term plotlines, and move in a direction similar to another Mike Schur show in “Parks and Recreation.” We’ve had a few little instances of recurring stories here and there, but mostly with love interests. The show is starting to be forgotten about, and we don’t want to see that happen.
