‘The Bachelor’ premiere spoilers: Watch Chris Soules’ ladies get blindsided (video)

We’re not entirely sure how the new sneak peek for “The Bachelor” is any sort of surprise at all, but somehow, it seems to be!

What are we talking about here? It comes back to something we teased a little earlier in the day, and that is that there are going to be 30 women who show up in limousines to meet Chris Soules. The twist? At first, it seems as though he is only going to be greeted by 15. These women all show up and start to get a little bit comfortable, and then, the news breaks that there are more who are stopping by. Things only really start to get interesting to us when we see that there are 30 contestants in total. Typically, each season of the show has 25, and that is pressure enough. Getting another five in there only ups the ante and the drama to another level.

We really just wish that there was something in this preview that was not anywhere as predictable as it is. Namely, we’re speaking here mostly about Chris seems to use the same adjectives as almost every other contestant in this role, and he actually doesn’t seem to be as confident as we expected him to be in the situation. Still, we imagine that this has to be somewhat overwhelming for him, also. He came out here hoping to meet someone, and there are 30 women who are at least moderately interested in being with him. (We phrase it like that because even the ones there for fame have to at least by okay with the idea of being close to him.)

By the end of the night, at least a handful of women will be sent home, and emotions are probably going to be high. At least one person is going to have a hard time dealing with the pressure, and could theoretically leave early.
