‘Glee’ season 6 spoilers: Ken Jeong, ‘2 Broke Girls’ star to parent Heather Morris’ Brittany

BrittanyWell, we can definitely classify this as news that we did not see coming, but news that we are also still excited to hear: We’re going to be meeting Brittany’s parents on “Glee” this season! Not only that, but we know that they are going to be played by some rather unexpected faces. The news actually came from one of the show’s newest cast members in Billy Lewis Jr. (who plays Mason, a member of the Cheerios), as he told HollywoodLife that two actors with some serious comedy chops are going to be very much involved in Brittany’s life:

“Ken Jeong and Jennifer Coolidge play Brittany’s parents in the show and watching the two of them work is like gold. It’s like a comedic masterclass. The way they come up with new lines on the spot and make each other laugh constantly. It’s just gold.”

Does this sound like as much fun to anyone else as it does to us? We hope so, since we know that both of these actors can bring the funny. Jeong of course first found fame to many thanks to the “Hangover” movies, but we will always know him more as Chang from “Community.” Meanwhile, Coolidge is currently a series regular over on CBS’ “2 Broke Girls.” Luckily, all of these shows film in Los Angeles, and that therefore makes it a little bit easier for them to hop over to “Glee” to a do a guest stint.

As for why Brittany’s parents are turning up, maybe it’s for a certain wedding? It has basically been confirmed by Naya Rivera and others that Brittany and Santana are going to be getting married before the final season ends.

“Glee” returns on Friday, January 9, but stay tuned for some further scoop before then! Also, you can sign up today in the event you want to snag some additional updates via email, courtesy of our CarterMatt Newsletter. (Photo: Fox.)
