‘Celebrity Big Brother’ casting rumors: Jake Quickenden, Chloe Jasmine top ‘X Factor’ rumor mill

While does “Celebrity Big Brother” so desperately want former contestants on “The X Factor”? To us, this remains very much a mystery. The two shows are not exactly that similar, and the only reason that we can think of is simple: Most of the other “celebrities” they get are barely that, and by comparison, people fresh in the minds of Britain are a grand alternative.

This time around, are there really any contenders? Well, it depends on where you look. The Mirror has compiled a list of who they believe to be candidates, but even they admit that some of them are unlikely to happen.

For them, the top contender at the moment is Marcus Collins, who was actually a part of the show a few years ago when Little Mix won. What’s the appeal there? He is dating a pro dancer from “Strictly Come Dancing,” so there is that. Also it is a chance to get some more publicity towards a music career. We always thought that he was talented, but his record label did not really give him much of a chance to create an original debut album.

Meanwhile, the site also lists both Jake Quickenden and Chloe Jasmine as other possibilities. Jake almost won “I’m a Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here,” so clearly he has no problem with reality TV. He’s probably the best bet of people from this season. Chloe has already reportedly turned the show down, and that’s probably for the best. She can probably make more money as a model than doing anything on here.

“Celebrity Big Brother” is mere days away from getting underway in some form, and we’ll have some other updates soon … provided the contestants are people that we’ve actually heard of. Remember here that in between covering the American and Canadian “Big Brothers,” sometimes we have a little too much of house-related nonsense on our plate.
