‘The Good Wife’ season 6, episode 11 preview: What to expect from ‘Hail Mary’

Good Wife -Does it seem as though you have been waiting for more of “The Good Wife” forever? Well, that is because the CBS series has been off the air for a rather long time. The last new episode was November, and since that time, “The Mentalist” has aired in its time slot.

Luckily, the show returns Sunday night with “Hail Mary,” which is at its core an hour of TV designed to really give you much more of a sense as to whether or not Alicia can really be a hero when it comes to Cary Agos. The last we saw, he was ready to enter a guilty plea in return for a smaller sentence, feeling as though there was no other way out. Now, she and Diane are going to lead the charge in hopes of finding a loophole, and having him be a free man.

Regardless of whether or not they succeed, know that this is the sort of story that could alter the course of the entire season.

As for the rest of the episode, one of the biggest things to take note of is Alicia’s continued efforts to prepare for her State’s Attorney election debates. The name of the game here is preparation, and she is going to rely on a pair of very different men. First, you have Peter, who obviously knows a thing or two about political discourse. Based on a sneak peek that we’ve seen from this episode, Alicia seems to hold her own there rather well. Then, you also have a professor (Chris Elliott) who will be coming in as a new perspective, just to throw something different at her. It’s always nice to see Elliott out of his typical comedy stomping grounds.

This will be the first of many episodes this month, so be sure to check back for more on some of the others. Also, you can sign up right now if you want to get some further TV updates on everything we cover at CarterMatt, courtesy of our official newsletter. (Photo: CBS.)
