‘Chicago PD’ season 2 spoilers: Is Jack Coleman ‘Disco Bob’?

Chicago PD -Jack Coleman may be getting close to being one of our guest-star MVPs alongside Patton Oswalt. After all, he played a villainous Senator on “Castle,” and had a very dangerous turn as Caroline’s father on “The Vampire Diaries.”

So where is he heading now? How about Chicago! Coleman, who we will always know best for those horned-rimmed glasses on “Heroes,” is going to be appearing in the January 21 episode of “Chicago PD” entitled “Disco Bob.” What makes this episode even more interesting to us is that this title may be a reference to him, which has us picturing him skating around in roller skates dancing, kind of like Bryan Cranston did in that one “Colbert Report” – Daft Punk parody.

For some other details that do not involve disco pants, take a look at the episode’s synopsis:

“Bob Ruzek (guest star Jack Coleman) is the first to arrive on the scene of a double murder. Intelligence arrives to take over the investigation tensions arise as Bob needs to hand over the case to his son (Patrick Flueger) and Voight (Jason Beghe). Lindsay’s (Sophia Bush) new gig has her planning a trip to Bolivia for an undercover investigation that could be for an extended amount of time. Burgess (Marina Squerciati) and Roman (Brian Geraghty) realize they need to put past events behind them so it doesn’t jeopardize them going forward.”

Given the sort of dad characters Coleman’s played in the past, this has to be interesting, doesn’t it?

Also worth noting is the thought of Lindsay going away for a long time, which has been set up in some way already by her taking the job with the task force. We’ll still believe it when we see it, given that Bush is the show’s biggest star and their big sell on the posters.
