Ever since we first heard that John Barrowman was going to be a series regular on “Arrow,” we were overjoyed. Then, we wondered when we were going to see some of the actual fruits of this promotion pay off. So far, he has only appeared as Malcolm Merlyn in a handful of season 3 episodes – which is not nearly enough for our liking.
As with everything, though, the writers and producers of the show always have a plan, and maybe this is going to be something that really pays off in the second half of this season. According to SpoilerTV, the title for the show’s upcoming 15th episode this season is “Nanda Parbat.”
With that being said, here is some backstory: If you remember, Malcolm spent a good two years of his life after the death of his wife away at this infamous place, which is where he was supposedly trained by Ra’s al Ghul and found a new meaning for his life. With this in mind, it feels like either this episode is going to be heavy on the Malcolm backstory, or will be a window to more of Ra’s operation. Either way, this is a good opportunity to see more Barrowman, and hopefully explore more of what his history is with Ra’s, and why he should be so afraid of this man.
While we want to believe that Oliver managed to survive his brutal battle with Ra’s, The CW is being careful as to not confirm or deny anything just yet. They released the synopsis for the January 21 episode “Left Behind” yesterday, and it does a good job of remaining secretive.
This episode is still a long ways away, and with that, it’s pretty hard to say much else beyond speculation. Still, let us know what you want to see in the comments!
