Kathy Griffin, Anderson Cooper take on ‘Today Show’ musical on CNN – New Year’s Eve special

Tonight, there are a variety of different programs that you can watch, but there is one that still rises to the top for us: CNN’s insane broadcast featuring Anderson Cooper and Kathy Griffin.

We don’t know if there is any script to this whatsoever, but we still find it hilarious. Why? Anderson does a good job pretending to be uncomfortable while Kathy goes on and on about various subjects. During the early portions of tonight’s show, there were a variety of great highlights, provided of course that you have a good sense of humor.

1. Griffin reading aloud the death threats she received from Demi Lovato fans following an incident earlier this year.

2. Griffin’s lengthy discussion of a “feud” that Anderson had with Billy Corgan of Smashing Pumpkins, and how “I wish him the best” is the most PC, awful answer you can probably give.

3. A completely brilliant take on the “Today Show” musical, and how “amazing” it really was.

4. Kathy talking about “crabs” and “going south,” and everything that comes with that.

Our favorite part of the CNN broadcast may still be the reporters that they have hired to go around the country and celebrate the New Year in strange ways, whether it be watching a giant shoe holding a drag queen drop in Key West, or witnessing the fall of a giant crab in Maryland (hence the earlier joke).

We’re just putting this out there: Can someone hire Kathy and Anderson to host holiday specials throughout the entire year? They make everything merrier.
