‘Gotham’ episode 11 spoilers: First photo of Morena Baccarin!

Fans of “Firefly” and “Homeland” need not worry, at least for the time being, about when we are going to see Morena Baccarin pop onto “Gotham” for the first time. The actress will be there right at the start of the year!

The attached photo here is the first one of the actress as Dr. Leslie Thompkins, an important role for the series that could even end up becoming a regular one depending on everything that happens on the show. She is a doctor at Arkham Asylum, and therefore, is going to be spending quite a bit of time with James Gordon (Ben McKenzie). In the comics, she becomes a major force in the life of a young Bruce Wayne, as well (though we are waiting to see how that properly translates over to the show).

Ultimately, the biggest thing that we are hoping for here is a real chance to see what Morena can do in this sort of setting, and with a character that is still for the most part mysterious. We don’t want to see this become another Jess Brody, though, where she never really gets a chance to show off her power. Inara is still our favorite character of hers, mostly because she coudl wield great influence at times without anyone else really knowing.

There will be more new episodes of “Gotham” airing throughout the month, but Monday really marks the first step in the right direction. Stay tuned for more news coming soon!
