‘The Mentalist’ season 7, episode 6 preview: The Abbott story surfaces again
Tonight’s episode of “The Mentalist” was an entertaining one to watch, mostly in that it had a very old-school charm to it: Watching Patrick Jane try to force a confession out of a man when he realized that there may not be enough evidence to otherwise do so.
For the next episode entitled “Green Light,” we are circling back to a story that we saw prominently in “Black Market” last week: Dennis Abbott, and his past in Rio Bravo. Abbott’s former boss is also going to surface, and that could put him in a more compromising position than ever. If he wants to keep his job, he may be forced to lie in a way that will bother him greatly.
Just in case you have not seen it yet, the official synopsis below should give you some scoop as to what to expect:
“The FBI is brought in to consult on a botched DEA raid, but when Abbott’s former boss tries to blackmail Abbott into keeping the agency’s missteps quiet, he is forced to choose between his career and morals.”
Does this episode sound particularly interesting to anyone else? We’re excited for it (but we are always excited when it comes to “The Mentalist”. While Abbott has not necessarily been a force on the show for a long time, he has still made his presence felt since he arrived. Also, we want to know more of his past, and why he was willing to send his wife away without him, all for the sake of trying to get a promotion.
