‘Once Upon a Time’ season 4, episode 12 spoilers: The first (and very tiny) tease

Once -While you wait for the “Once Upon a Time” midseason premiere to come on the air Sunday, March 3, we come today bearing some good news, even if it is small: A quick tease at what you will be seeing on the show moving forward.

We actually think in this case that what you should be paying attention to is not the line itself, but the speaker and the way in which it is being set up. The tweet below from co-creator Adam Horowitz features the tiny line of “That means it’s ready,” and you cannot really figure much of anything out from that. It could be something as awful as Maleficent crafting a new spell, or something as wonderful as Mary Margaret making a turkey.

What is a little more interesting to us here is that this voice is coming from offscreen, which to us means a number of different possible things.

1. It is coming from someone who is a new character.

2. It is coming from someone who has sinister intentions. You wouldn’t keep a happy-go-lucky person away from the camera!

3. It is coming from someone who is appearing at an unexpected time, or an unexpected place.

It’s hard to theorize on this much more beyond this, but we know that Maleficent, Ursula, and Cruella de Vil as the Queens of Darkness are all going to collectively have a big role to play on the show. We just have to wait for the premiere to arrive first.
