‘Elementary’ season 3, episode 9 preview: The beginning of a new-episode streak

ElementaryEven if “Elementary” is not exactly giving all of the goods away right now about its upcoming episodes, the CBS show does make an effort in its latest promo below to really advertise one thing: You are going to getting quite a few episodes in a row starting on Thursday, January 8.

Basically, there are seven episodes that will be airing consecutively, which is enough to more or less take you through the first two months of the year. The next time you will be missing an episode seemingly is February 26, and even then, there may not be that long of a hiatus. It is not entirely clear right now what the overall episode count is going to be for this season (NFL football on Thursday night messed with it), we would say that there should at least be several more beyond this to air during April and May.

One other thing that we do really like about this new promo below is that it brings the show at least a little bit closer to exploring some of its roots again. Specifically here, we’re talking about the relationship between Sherlock Holmes and Watson! These are two characters who really did not spend enough time together in the first half of the season.

Luckily, there are going to be many opportunities for them to be doing so moving forward. For example, there are some big cases ahead that are going to focus extensively on Watson’s past, and also some that will be so complicated, they both need to be on their game.
