The producers of “Once Upon a Time” have already made one thing fairly clear about the story coming up: They have plans throughout the second half of their upcoming fourth season to show flashbacks into all of their Queens of Darkness’ lives.
Are villains really born to be evil, or are they motivated in some way to do so? By and large, the show has convinced us with the stories of Regina, Rumpelstiltskin, and others that they were compelled at some point to be evil for one reason or another.
Therefore, it is not altogether unreasonable to think that the show may be doing something similar right now when it comes to Ursula. Per the tweet below via executive producer Adam Horowitz, the name for the upcoming 15th episode of season 4 is none other than “Poor Unfortunate Soul.” As anyone who watched “The Little Mermaid” knows, this is a very popular lyric performed by Ursula. Therefore, it is not too unreasonable to say that this is going to be an episode all about how Ursula became such a force to be precooked with.
We already know via various spoilers that we are going to meet her father Poseidon, and at one point in the final 11 episodes this season, JoAnna Garcia Swisher is also going to return as Ariel. This is going to be a rather-eventful series of episodes ahead, given that we also have some more flashbacks around Cruella de Vil and Maleficent at some point.
