‘Blue Bloods’ season 5 spoilers: Jamie asks Danny for help
“Blue Bloods” is going to return with new episodes pretty early in the new year on January 2, and thanks to that, we actually have a little bit of information about many installments that are coming up down the road.
This includes the upcoming January 16 episode entitled “Home Sweet Home,” which may at times have a sort of wild-goose chase feeling to it, as Jamie recruits Danny for a case that may eventually make him feel like he is searching for a ghost. This is not the only major story for the episode, though, as Erin is going to find herself out on a very important case as a prosecutor.
For some more details, take a look at the synopsis below:
“Jamie gets Danny involved when he finds a homeless teen who claims his aunt was killed by her boyfriend. Meanwhile, Erin is angered when McCoy replaces her as the prosecutor on a case involving a corrections officer.”
The only thing that really surprises us about this particular synopsis is the lack of information in it when it comes to Frank. Typically, Tom Selleck is one of the show’s bigger selling points, so we tend to see his character mentioned early and often in some of these synopses, as he often has to take on one significant moral dilemma after another within his position.
If we had a New Year’s resolution for this show, it would be that Danny manages to calm down a little bit. Isn’t this guy always a little too on edge? We certainly think so!

Some Police Officers get things done by being on edge sometimes. They can’t all be hand holding daycare characters.
