‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ spoilers: First details on finale

Freak Show -Given what we know about “American Horror Story: Freak Show,” can you really be surprised that “Curtain Call” is the title for the upcoming finale?

This episode, based on the press release issued today by FX, has a lot on its plate. It has to resolve the unstable state of the Freak Show itself, the Elsa story, and whether or not Dandy Mott is ever going to be stopped. We at least know that, based on the synopsis below, that he is going to last that long:

“The Freaks rebel against new management. Dandy prepares for his debut performance. Elsa arrives in Tinseltown.”

Presumably, this new management could be Chester (Neil Patrick Harris), who arrives in Jupiter with his own plans and secret agenda. Also, it seems like he is a pretty terrible person, despite having at least a little bit of talent when it comes to magic.

As for whether or not we want to see Elsa become a star, the answer to that has to be a pretty resounding “no.” While she has been through quite a bit in her life, are we supposed to excuse most of her terrible behavior just so that she can get exactly what she wants in the end? Just remember poor Ethel, or some of the members of the Freak Show that she has taken advantage of over the years.

This finale is going to air come Wednesday, January 21, but we will have some more updates on the show long before then. Stay tuned!
