‘NCIS: New Orleans’ episode 11 preview: First look at 2015 return ‘Baitfish’

Tonight, “NCIS: New Orleans” said farewell to 2014 with a new episode, but the latest spin-off in the CBS franchise is not going to be saying farewell permanently. As a matter of fact, it is going to be back very early in the new year!

The next new installment of the show is entitled “Baitfish,” and it is going to air come Tuesday, January 6 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern time. For a few basic details of what to expect, just take a look at the official synopsis below:

“The NCIS team investigates a deadly explosion at the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Gala, and discover Pride (Scott Bakula) was the intended target of the bomb.”

We hope that this ends up becoming a big showcase episode for Bakula, who tends to carry almost any scene without a problem.

For the most part, we feel like the show has done exactly what it wanted to within the first batch of episodes, which is present a number of interesting stories that show off that this is very much the “NCIS” you love with a New Orleans twist. Now that we’re this far into the series, what we really hope is that the show starts to spread its wings a little bit, and showcase some more stories that highlight individual characters, and who they were before we started to see them on the show. This is something that “NCIS” proper has done quite a bit over the past year or so, at least since acclimating to Bishop’s arrival.
